Azumi is an ikebana master and artist with over 30 years of experience, working across Japan, Europe, and Australia. Her contemporary Ikebana Free style is rooted in authentic Japanese aesthetics, while allowing space for individuality and modern expression.

Azumi describes her work as “speaking in  flowers”—using ikebana as a visual language to express ideas, emotions, and inner feelings. Through her art and teaching, she helps each person translate their own voice into form, guided by nature.

Azumi's classes are set in a serene and calming intimate studio. I have attended some of her classes and always learn a lot this time was on Japanese pottery and how can be used in conjunction with ikebana and the placement of one single bloom in beautiful artisan Japanese pottery. Thanks Azumi see you for my next class Nicole :)))

Azumi's class was beautifully presented and informative. She gave a sense of Japan in the Spring. The activities were achievable and all were pleased with the options for arrangements with table ware that we could try at home. The ceramics that were for sale, made by an accomplished Japanese ceramicist, Terunobo HIrata certainly enhanced all the floral designs. We enjoyed a happy, relaxing, creative time.
